“Having recently moved to a small traditional cottage, Simon was “(if he so chose to) take on the task.”.. to create traditional victorian shutters over original sliding yorkshire windows. These would not only provide a practical draughtproof solution but more importantly to add character and achieve an aesthetically pleasing appearance. Not a straightforward process as all walls were curved and wholly uneven – in short a challenge!!
Added to this challenge we also requested a shelving solution to (yet again) a quirky curved wall.
We are delighted to say the finished results were even better than we had envisaged – in fact they are stunning and look as if they have been in situ for many years!!

“Based on previous experience renovation of the house can be a stressful process. However, both times we have had joinery work done by Simon at Simon Charles Joinery this was far from the case. Initially Simon was there to guide us through the requirements process offering tested advice where required. The work was done on time at the agreed price and the finished product in both cases exceeded our high expectations. Today where is seems the market is flooded with substandard less reputable tradesmen it makes a refreshing change to find someone who takes pride in their work.
