About us

Simon Hopper established Simon Charles Joinery, he has over 15 year’s experience in the joinery/building industry. On leaving school Simon did an apprenticeship whilst working at a local hardwood furniture manufacturer, Simon also attended Jacob Kramer Collage in Leeds on a day release basis and gained his City and Guilds qualification.

Simon Charles Joinery is based between Harrogate and York, close to the A1, we are ideally located to cover the York, Wetherby, Harrogate and Ripon areas.

We have a small dedicated team of skilled, qualified and experienced joiners who pride themselves in producing high quality products coupled with a reliable and friendly, yet professional service. We use traditional wood working techniques combined with modern machinery to produce bespoke joinery, custom-made furniture, kitchens, doors etc.

Where possible, our products are supplied using FSC and PEFC chain of custody certified timber from legally and sustainably managed forests, meeting economic and ecological standards.

We’re always on hand to discuss and provide advice regarding our joinery services, whether you’re at the initial design stage or you’re looking for us to develop and install your plans.
